1 Kings 22:19 Micaiah went on, “Listen rather to the word of Yahweh. I have seen Yahweh seated on his throne; all the array of heaven stood in his presence, on his right and on his left.”
THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD
Isaiah 48:13 My Hand laid the foundations of the earth
and my right hand spread out the heavens.
I summon them
and they all come forward together.
The “victorious right hand”, our Saviour Jesus Christ, who leads us to victory until the end.
Isaiah 41:9-13 You whom I brought from the confines of the earth
and called from the ends of the world;
you whom I said, “You are my servant,
I have chosen you, not rejected “,
do not be afraid, for I am with you;
stop being anxious and watchful, for I am your God.
I give you strength, I bring you help,
I uphold you with my victorious right hand.
Yes, all those who raged against you,
shall be put to shame and confusion;
they who fought against you
shall be destroyed, and perish.
You will seek but never find them,
those enemies of yours.
They shall be destroyed and brought to nothing,
those who made war on you.
For I, Yahweh, your God,
I am holding you by the right hand;
I tell you, “Do not be afraid,
I will help you”.
What could Yahweh mean by “holding you by the right hand.”? It means two literal things: first, it means Jesus, who is the right hand of the Father, “holds” or “owns” us and no one can steal us from Him; and secondly, Yahweh holds onto us because our names are written in the palm of His hands.
John 10:29 The Father who gave them to me is greater than anyone,
and no one can steal from the Father.
The Father and I are one.
Isaiah 49:16 See, I have branded you on the palms of my hands,
your ramparts are always under my eye.
Jesus brings salvation.
Acts 5:31 By his own right hand God has now raised him up to be leader and saviour, to give repentance and forgiveness of sins through him to Israel.
Jesus also intercedes for us.
Romans 8:3 Could anyone condemn? Could Christ Jesus? No! He not only died for us– He rose from the dead, and there at God’s right hand he stands and pleads for us.
Jesus separates the good from the wicked.
Matthew 25:34 Then the King will say to those on his right hand, “Come, you whom my Father has blessed, take for your heritage the kingdom prepared for you since the foundation of the world.
The Psalms of David give praise to and mention particularly the Right Hand in many of his psalms, and here are just a few of them.
Psalm 16:11 You will reveal the path of life to me,
give me unbounded joy in your presence,
and at your right hand everlasting pleasures.
Psalm 18:35 You give me your saving shield
your right hand upholds me, with care you train me.
Psalm 20:6 Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed one,
and answers him from his holy heaven
with mighty victories from his own right hand.
Psalm 21:8-9 Your hand will unmask all your enemies,
your right hand all who hate you;
you will make them like a blazing furnace,
the day that you appear.
Psalm 48:10 God, your praise, like your name,
reaches to the ends of the world.
Your right hand holds victory;
Psalm 60:5 To bring rescue to those you love,
save with your right hand and answer us!
THE LEFT HAND OF GOD
Matthew 25:33 He will place the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left.
Matthew 25:41 Next he will say to those on his left hand, “Go away from me, with your curse upon you, to the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Jesus used our own hands to differentiate the deeds of the righteous (right hand) from the deeds of the hypocrites (left hand). This verse means the righteous do good deeds in secret, while the hypocrites always want their deeds to be known by many.
Matthew 6:3 But when you give alms, your left hand must not know what your right hand is doing.
Whenever Isaiah mentions Yahweh’s hands, he gives specific reference to the “right” hand when he speaks about life, victory, salvation and righteousness of Yahweh. However, when he talks about the wrath of Yahweh, about destruction and death, he only refers to His “hand” without any indication whether it is the “right” or the “left” hand of Yahweh.
Isaiah 5:25 So, Yahweh aflame with anger against his people
has raised his hand to strike them;
he has killed the princes, their corpse lie
like dung in the streets.
Yet his anger is not spent,
still his hand is raised to strike.
The truth is, the “left” hand of Yahweh refers to Abaddon the Destroyer, the angel of Yahweh whom He mostly sends to deliver His wrath.
Isaiah 14:26 This is the decision taken
against the whole world;
this, the hand stretched out
against all the nations.
1 Chronicles 21:16 David, raising his eyes, saw the angel of Yahweh standing between earth and heaven, a drawn sword in his hand stretched out towards Jerusalem.
2 Kings 19:35 That same night the angel of Yahweh went out and struck down a hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. In the early morning when it was time to get up, there they lay, so many corpses.
Isaiah 19:16 That day, the Egyptians will become like women, fearful, terrified, when they see the uplifted hand that Yahweh Sabaoth will raise against them.
Jesus owns those on Yahweh’s right hand, but the Destroyer controls all those on the left who are bound to the pit, exemplified by the two criminals during His crucifixion. Even though it is not clearly stated which the location is of the one who was saved, logic will tell us he was the one on the right side of Jesus.
Luke 23:33 When they reached the place called The Skull, they crucified him there and the two criminals also, one on the right, the other on the left.
If the wicked cannot steal the righteous from the right hand of Yahweh who is Jesus, then the wicked cannot escape also the left hand of Yahweh who is the Destroyer. Not one can transfer from one hand to the other of Yahweh!
Hebrews 10:31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Freemasons and Illuminatis praise and worship Abaddon the Destroyer, thus the symbol of their hand gestures.
