Yahweh says this:
“A curse on the man who puts his trust in man,
who relies on things of the flesh,
whose heart turns from Yahweh.
He is like dry scrub in the wastelands:
if good comes, he has no eyes for it,
he settles in the parched places of the wilderness,
a salt land, uninhabited.
A blessing on the man who puts his trust on Yahweh,
with Yahweh for his hope.
He is like a tree by the waterside
that thrusts its roots to the stream:
when the heat comes it feels no alarm,
its foliage stays green;
it has no worries in a year of drought,
and never ceases to bear fruit.
The heart is more devious than any other thing,
perverse too: who can pierce its secrets?
I, Yahweh, search to the heart,
I probe the loins,
to give each man what his conduct
and his actions deserve.
Trust no more in man,
he has but a breath in his nostrils.
How much is he worth?
In other words, do not entrust your salvation to another man (pastors, elders, loved ones, gurus, mentors, financial consultants, bible scholars, etc.) because they are not the ones who can make you understand the Words of GOD, only the Holy Spirit.
Moreso, do not entrust your salvation to your idols and lifeless sculptures in your cathedrals, temples and place of worship! THEY ARE MANY TIMES AS DEAD AS YOU ARE ALREADY!
Instead, trust in the one true GOD alone; seek His words diligently and sincerely; listen to the teachings of the Lord Jesus, follow His ways; read the Scriptures in its entirety (not by verses alone); pray for understanding because no matter how many times you read the Bible but if GOD will not let you understand, it is all worthless. Only Him can baptize you with the Holy Spirit to make you understand every line in the bible.
There is no excuse, says the LORD, come Judgment Day. You cannot say you did not know! GOD has laid down all His instructions in the Bible, and Jesus had shown enough examples. Your money, your skills, your talent, your good looks: they are NOT going to save your soul though you think it has saved your flesh from the hardships of this life!
Don’t think of yourself as someone too good already. You are just too stubborn to study the whole Bible, and too complacent with your own capacity.
Christ’s resurrection justifies belief in his coming as judge and saviour at the end of time.
Acts 17:29-31 Since we are the children of God, we have no excuse for thinking that the deity looks like anything in gold, silver or stone that has been carved and designed by man.
God overlooked that sort of thing when men were ignorant, but now he is telling everyone everywhere that they must repent, because he has fixed a day when the whole world will be judged, and judged in righteousness, and he has appointed a man to be the judge. And God has publicly proved this by raising this man from the dead.
